  • Songs you select (metadata from Spotify).

  • Your name and profile picture from Google.
  • A unique user identifier to link your messages to your account.

This data is stored securely in our database (Supabase) and is used solely to:

  • Display your profile in the header when logged in.
  • Link messages to your account so you can manage them.
  • Allow you to delete your own messages.

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Google Sign-In - For optional user authentication via your Google account.
  • Music Services - To search and display song information.
  • Cloud Infrastructure - For secure database storage and hosting.
  • Security Services - For spam protection and bot prevention.
  • Analytics - For anonymous usage statistics to improve our service.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

  • Host and display your message card.
  • Generate social preview images.
  • Direct the recipient to the selected song on Spotify.
  • Allow you to manage and delete your messages (if signed in).

5. Data Retention & Visibility

Messages are stored on our secure servers indefinitely unless deleted by you or our administrators. You can choose to make your message:

  • Public - Visible on the Browse page for anyone to discover.
  • Unlisted - Only accessible via the direct link you share.

If you sign in with Google, your account data is retained until you request deletion.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete individual messages from your dashboard when signed in. To request complete account deletion (including all associated data), please contact us at support@sendasong.io.

7. Cookies & Advertising Disclosures

We use local storage to keep track of your sent messages on your device and session storage for authentication state. We may use essential cookies for site functionality.

This website uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC, to serve advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads on SendaSong based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet.
